The experienced candidate for Kerrville City Council Place 3

I’m Kent McKinney, and I’m asking for your vote for Kerrville City Council Place 3 in the May 2024 citywide election.

My experience in the private sector, public service, and in community nonprofits has given me a unique perspective on our community, its goals, and its future.

Public Service

Kent has served Kerrville as a member of the Kerrville Economic Improvement Corporation (EIC) and has been intimately involved in local issues since he arrived in Kerrville full-time in 2006.

Experience

Kent retired from the private sector in 2021 after more than 45 years in community banking. He served as Chairman and/or CEO of four newly-chartered community banks in Kansas and Texas, including Guadalupe National Bank and Community First National Bank in Kerrville.

Community Service

Kent has served on seven community interest and nonprofit organizations in Kerrville, including Upper Guadalupe River Center, Kerrville Public School Foundation, Dietert Center, Hill Country Arts Foundation, and numerous others. See “resume” below for a more complete list.

I’m running to help secure the future of Kerrville — one of prosperity and high quality of life for all of its citizens.
